Some users are getting an "incorrect function" error when trying to save files (e.g. Word)

Sometimes the error shows in a box the path to the shared folder then "Incorrect function." These Windows 10 (21H2) users are domain users saving files to their domain accounts on a 2016 Windows Server. Last week we did install the cumulative update KB5021235 on that server. I tried disabling Cortana and running SFC on computers that have had this error, but the errors sometimes come back. It doesn't seem to be consistent.

You must be a part of an organization or using a business version of Windows or Windows Servers. MS community is solely built to support consumer Windows versions. It's best if this is posted in MS Q & A, Dspp.
