I also had this issue happen while using Snip & Sketch. Was trying to draw after changing the line width.
Windows Freezing and then Beeps When I Click
Hi, earlier today I was just playing games (specifically Minecraft), and my pc just froze. However, I could still hear sounds from the call I was in with my friend and whenever I clicked with my mouse, the pc would make a beeping sound. After a force shutdown, it seemed to have been fixed but I'm not sure why it happened and if I should do something about it. I'm semi-sure it's not malware as I did a system scan with Bitdefender. After some searching, I also find that a decent amount of people have also had this happen in similar ways but I could not find a clear answer on how to fix it.

2022-12-05T11:55:45+00:00 I have the same issue on regular case (3 times on a year owning a dell latitude)
The problem is that you can't do anything. The mouse still moves on screen but you can't launch the task manager. Whatever you try to do, you get the beeps
One thing I can confirm is that the laptop fan was blasting at its maximum
Then once the fan stopped, I waited a few more minutes but the pc didn't unfreeze
Still some things still happen in the background as I can hear slack notifications
No other solution than force shutdown by long press on the power button
It's a work pc, no games

2022-10-16T02:41:06+00:00 Hi Tqkend,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
I have also encountered some large games running when the screen suddenly freezes and the mouse pointer moves with a beeping sound. According to my investigation, this problem seems to be related to the computer cooling (but it does not mean that the computer hardware is damaged or abnormal).
In order to determine the problem, I would like to confirm whether this situation happens often or just occasionally. In addition, please pay attention to the time this happens when a computer is a fever is very serious, the beep beep sound is actually a warning sound, the CPU or the GPU temperature too high in self-protection can reduce the frequency, if the game is ongoing, frequency reduction may lead to the game run enough resources play an error window screen freezes and even happen.
Your patience and cooperation are highly appreciated.

2024-01-12T17:05:51+00:00 HI All!
First of all i understand everyone's pain here, I had pretty much this same issue verbatim and it got really annoying really quickly, its pretty much the same as everyone else, when i play games usually Valorant, if I tab out or sometimes go too fast switching tabs and whatnot the computer would just completely freeze but there is a beeping sound coming from my audio output.
However due to a combination of fantastic support from the people who made my pc, and a friend who is studying computer science and who makes them on the daily, we might have found a solution (so far).
first off this is definitely a hardware issue of some kind at least on my end, but the usual full scan of the system never hurt so that would be the first step, but the main one is just making sure that all your cables (if you can get access to them) are secure in the pc/laptop of course mainly around the big 3, graphics card, motherboard as well as the CPU, just in case is a random loose connection,
next (this is the thing that worked for me) is chipset driver install/reinstall, in this case head you may need to head to your motherboards website and see if they do a section that allows you to download main motherboard chipset driver that you need, it may be out of date or just a problem with the CPU drivers themselves. I wish I could post links for downloads but I do have a chipset from my friend that looks through what chipset you need and auto installs it (or at least I think that's how it works) but I would recommend looking into Gigabyte, AMD or intel.
ill leave this post here for the moment, but I'm hoping this works for all of you. ill keep prompting solutions for anyone that still needs them.
