I am unable to install the latest software available in the canon website for MF244DW image class printer & scanner. Though the driver for printer could be installed without any issue, the software for scan utility failed to install despite many attempts. After two failed attempts, the system displayed an error message that there is a hardware problem in C drive. I bought the new lenovo workstation just a month ago. Surprised to see hardware error in a brand-new Lenovo machine with best configuration after third party software from a reputed vendor failed to install. Please help.

I said printer driver. Only the 226MB download file has the scanner driver.
ALL THE OTHER PRINTER DRIVERS ARE PURE PRINTER DRIVERS AND CONTAIN NO SCANNER DRIVER.
Also did you read the installation instruction of the scan utility --- you need .NET framework to be installed before you install the scan utility.
Which "printer" driver?
Only 1 of the driver download contains the actual scanner driver.
All the other "printer" drivers contain only the printer portion of the driver, they don't have the scanner portion of the driver.
