It's possible that it doesn't pop up on your screen.
Press your Windows key then write "config" without pressing enter, you should see an option to configure your controller.
Click on it, and you should see if your pc detect your controller.

hello,
i just brought a new ps5 controller and i ps5 charge and play USB cable today and i plugged it into my pc and waited for the pop up saying the drivers are being downloaded but it never pupped up and i've had the ps5 controller plugged into my pc for 20 minuets now
so i wondering how could i fix this?
p.s it's my first time trying to connect a controller to my pc
