Why does my keyboard type a single letter/number or even the back space only deleting a single character?

I only really noticed this during a game I play called Warthunder. When I clicked a or d to bank the plane left or right, it would only do it for a millisecond and then stop. I thought it was weird as it just started doing it today. I then tested it on typing into google and it still happened. I've seen things to say turn off filter keys and still doesn't work.

Hi, I’m Nicole, I’ll be happy to help you out today.

Open keyboard properties by clicking the Windows logo then type and click the search result.

On the new window, under Speed, check the repeat delay and repeat rate.

Try to adjust the slider to the max to the right then click apply.

    After that test the keyboard.

Report back the results here afterward.

    Thank you.

Are you using a laptop or desktop computer?

The issue might be the keyboard itself.

If you are using a desktop computer, try to unplug the keyboard then plug it on other USB Slot.

You can also do this to uninstall and reinstall the keyboard driver.

Open device manager by right-clicking the Windows logo on the taskbar then click device manager.

Next, double-click Keyboards in device manager to expand it.

Next, you will see entries below keyboards when you expanded it, they might be named HID keyboard device. Right-click it then click uninstall device. Continue to do it until all has been uninstalled if you see multiple entries.

Restart the computer after that so Windows can reinstall the drivers.

Report back the results here afterward.

    Thank you.
