You are welcome Allen. Just for your information, you can always download the older version from the Dell driver website I posted in my previous reply. Each type of driver on that page has an "older version" you can click on. Good luck!

The brightness control does not work after updating windows 11 22h2
After updating to 22h2, the brightness indicators stopped working for me, they display, but there is no animation when the screen brightness decreases or increases and the brightness stays locked to the max or min. This also occurs when I update my Nvidia drivers to their latest patch. I have no idea what is causing this and would love some help on this matter
Currently I have just uninstalled the update and that seemed to work as i got control of my brightness but I'm afraid that's not a fix for the long run.
I have Dell G15 5515 Ryzen Edition which I bought just a few days back

It is a matter of finding the right version of driver.
Often times when Windows updates, it turns out the latest graphic driver is not always the best .
But if everything works well for now, you can leave it be, until AMD has all the kinks worked out for the driver.

Thank you for the additional information. When you said you rolled back/uninstalled the updates, I took it as the Windows updates, not the driver update, right?
Anyway, if you do update Windows again and the same issue happens again, you want to update the AMD driver. The brightness control in your case is run by the integrated GPU, not the dedicated one. Here is the driver support page for your model: https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product...

And no I am not in the windows insider program. As you said i did update the Nvidia drivers through its app Ge force experience and still the problem persisted and so I had to roll back to the version that was preinstalled when I bought this laptop

This indeed is a display adapter driver issue.
When you go to your Device Manager > Display Adapter, is the NVIDIA GPU the only one listed? If not, what else do you have?
Also, are you on the Windows 11 Insider version? If so, this kind of issue can be normal, meaning your Windows update is way ahead of driver updates from manufacturer.
Otherwise, you can always manually install driver directly from NVIDIA, either by finding the latest, or using an older version. There is definitely time when using an older version of driver works better than using the latest as latest can be buggy and not as stable.
