Hi. I keep getting this waring: Certificate for local system with Thumbprint 2d 5b *** 18 37 is about to expire or already expired. I don't have a Thumbprint scanner on my PC. I would assume Windows 10 would know this and not check for a valid certificate. How do I get rid of this warning? Thanks, Will159

Hi Elise, thank you for responding. I checked out the link you suggested. I may just live with the log Warning or I may attempt to remove the cause, using Power Shell. (What could possibility go wrong?) Again, thank you. I consider this issue resolved.

    Best Regards back at you,

Hi, I'm Elise, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

It doesn’t actually refer to this certificate being for a thumbprint device, this is just the terminology used. It is basically the serial number of the certificate.

You can safely ignore this error, otherwise if you wish to try and remove it you can try follow the steps in this forum thread:

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise
