Nicole,
Thank you for responding to my Wi-Fi problem. My computer is a desktop Windows 10 pc. The network icon shows the Wi-Fi connection as “no internet, secured”. It also shows the ether cable connection as “Connected”. I have full use of the internet through the ether cable, however I would like to use that port on the router for my printer in order that my other computer has printer access. My T-Mobile Gateway router has only two ether ports. The router appears to operate at 2.4Ghz. My properties settings for the Wi-Fi network include “automatic DHCP”. One trouble shooter session indicated that I had an “improperly configured ip address”. Another properties window indicated that DHCP was not on. The T-Mobile tech said that my machine may be expecting a static ip address while their Gateway is broadcasting a dynamic one. Also, what APP should be allowed to pass through the firewall? I suspect a setting or a flaw in the Windows software associated with dynamic ip addressing.
Thank you again,
Jim Ashworth
