How do I go about installing WiFi drivers on my new PC without having Windows/an internet/ethernet connection?

Simple as that really, I’ve bought a new pc and it has a MSI B660M A Pro with WiFi, I’ve attached the antennas but it won’t connect me to the internet in order to complete my Windows install (it didn’t come with Windows so I can only go as far as the “Let’s connect you to a network” page during setup as it can’t install Windows without one). I don’t have a CD drive in the pc, I cant connect via ethernet but I do have a usb flash drive and a separate laptop - so I was wondering how I’d go about installing the WiFi drivers with the predicament I currently have?

Thanks in advance

Great solution John! I had loaded my new motherboard .inf pre-drivers into the root directory of my bootable flash drive before I started the clean install of Windows 11 on my hardware upgrade hoping to avoid chipset, SATA, and LAN issues. Everything went smoothly until I arrived at the “Let’s connect to the Internet to finish installation” page. Even after installing the .inf files and doing a PnP hardware detection using command line, I would land on the same step after reboot. By using your command to land on step 13, I was able to finish the install, reboot and create a local user. As soon as I did that, Windows PnP automatically installed the drivers and activated my product key so I could log into my Microsoft account. Thanks so much John!

Hi, I'm having a similar issue with an Intel Nuc 12, except when I am at the 'Let's connect you to a network' page, 'shift+F10' does not work on my keyboard. My keyboard has no Fn function as I have seen some people recommend 'shift+Fn+F10'. It is a Logitech MX keys wireless keyboard that is connected as 'enter' / 'tab' etc. are working.

Is there a workaround for this?

    Thank you

The Fn key may be necessary in order to change F10 to another key of vice versa. There may be a Bios setting that specifies which it is and you could change it there.

Do you have a wired keyboard you could use? What is the model of the Logitech keyboard?

You also should be able to add drivers during the early part of the installation for your network device. If you can find some.

You have to click into the command box with your mouse, then it should work. I had the same issue. Switching to Am5 and windows 11 has been a bear for some reason.

That... probably would've been a good thing for me to try before moving my entire setup down to my router to connect with ethernet... Thanks for replying though!
