How can I get my Epson ES-400 scanner to work in Windows 11?

My ES-400 works fine in Windows 10 software but when I went to Windows 11 it will not work. It shows up in the Device Manager as working fine. If I look at the scanner software from windows it list's it as an available option but it will not work. It will spin forever, endlessly. If I click on the software from Epson for the scanner it comes up with "The scanner is in use or unavaialbe. Please wait. (E1460-B305)"

I was on the phone with Epson for 45 minutes to be told it was an issue with Windows.

I have tried all the solutions online that I could find to no avail.

Thank you.

Yes. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted, updated, changed cords, restarted Shell Hardware Detection, and checked the status/settings in Windows Image Acquisitions. Will not work in Windows 11. I can take it right over to the Windows 10 computer and install it and it runs fine. So frustrated. I built the new computer and went to Windows 11 because all of the Windows 10 versions I had were tied to the manufacturer so I went ahead and updated. Found out that was apparently a mistake. It looks like I should have just bought a copy of windows 10.

That will not work. I tried everything to get mine to work and then called their tech support line. After being on the phone with them for over 45 minutes they said that it was Windows 11.
