My laptop was in windows 10 Pro last year and upgraded it to windows 11 Pro. Then today, my laptop says my windows license will be expired soon so I did a little research on how to find the expiration date and I found out it will be expired in 29 days. What should I do? I thought upgrading it to windows 11 Pro was a lifetime license.

Hi, I am Van. I'll be glad to assist you today.

It will still depend on what type of license is installed on your device. For home personal PC we normally used an OEM or a Retail type license key to activate Windows. And this type of license does not have an expiration.

May I verify if the Windows came preinstalled when you purchased the laptop or did you purchase the license key separately?
