Microphone not working windows 11

Hello, I'm currently using Windows 11 22H2 on a laptop Acer Aspire A315-58 wich is compatible with w11.

Any microphone connected to the jack 3.5 doesn't work on my laptop, I have tried earphones with mic (the audio works but not the mic), lavalier microphone but windows doesn't even reconize them, these mics have been test on others devices and they worked just fine.

The Integrated microphone works.

I had followed the instruction from:

I uninstalled the current drivers and reboot to install the generic ones, it didn't work.

any solutions?

I already installed the latest drivers from the acer website.

There's a high possibility that there's something wrong, hardware-wise, with that 3.5 audio/mic port combo.

If the built-in mic works fine, that is great news. You can just get an Audio to USB adapter, plugged that into one of your USB ports, and the problem is solved. Or you could also just send it to a tech repair shop and have that audio port replaced too.
