Hi, I’m Nicole, I’ll be happy to help you out today.

If your computer keeps saying it needs to restart, it means that there may be some issues of your hardware or drivers on your computer. The file system may be corrupted, your computer may be overheating, your computer is attacked by a virus, or the registry files on the System 32 folder is deleted by accident.

    Method 1

    Do clean boot:

A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program.

    • In the search box on the taskbar, type msconfig and select System Configuration from the results.
    • On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all.
    • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select Open Task Manager.
    • Under Startup in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then select Disable.
    • Close Task Manager.
    • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select OK. When you restart the computer, it's in a clean boot environment.

Method 2. Run memory diagnostic tool: The memory diagnostic tool is a RAM test to check if there are any issues with RAM.

If you see that light in the motherboard, it indicates a RAM error.

Check if you plug the RAM sticks correctly.

But as you have already tested a different RAM stick, this might be a motherboard issue.

Method 3. Run system file checker.

On your press windows key + X and choose Windows Powershell(admin)

On Powershell(admin), copy, paste and enter each command below:

    sfc /scannow

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Once done restart the PC and check.

    Hi again.

Try to clean the gold contacts of the RAM stick with a pencil eraser. Then clean also the RAM slot of the motherboard.

After that, try to plug and test the RAM stick on all the RAM slots one by one to determine if all RAM slot has an issue.

    Update the results back here.

    Thank you.
