    From Microsoft:

We're no longer offering the Windows Essentials 2012 suite for download, but if you already have it installed, it will continue to work as it does today. It reached end of support on January 10, 2017, and it isn't available in Windows 10.

    See

    > Where to get a Safe Download of Movie Maker

I've not so long ago used exactly the same download link and had no problems installing it.

    Works perfectly fine for me...

I think I've used this link which is the offline installer for Windows Essentials:

During setup you can decide which programs you want to install...

    Hhh...

I remember that last week I was using Windows Vista on a VM (Virtual Machine) I saw programs like Windows Movie Maker, Windows Mail, etc. but they were not available in Windows 7 (on my laptop) then I discovered that they're Windows Essentials programs.

I thinked that Windows 7 supports Windows Essentials too, and now I can see that this is true, but It's no longer supported.

    Thank you, Bill Smithers.
