While gaming the internet tells me that my cpu usage is supposed to be atleast 50-70%, however while I am playing games my cpu usage is literally 1%!. My game runs fine but it bottlenecks half of the time and it has a render latency of 30.

I have an RTX 2060 and an AMD RYZEN 4900.

Please tell me what I have to do this issue has been going on for over 2 years now.

Hello , sorry about your problems. My name is Marco and I will do my best to help you.

Low CPU usage while gaming can indicate a bottleneck in your system. A bottleneck occurs when one component in your system is not powerful enough to keep up with the others, causing the overall performance to suffer.

Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

-Check your task manager for other programs that may be running in the background.

Close any unnecessary programs or background processes to free up resources for your game.

    -Check your GPU usage.

Open the task manager or a program like MSI Afterburner while you are gaming and see if the GPU usage is high. If the GPU usage is low, it may indicate that the game is not utilizing the GPU effectively.

    -Check your game settings.

Lowering the game's resolution or turning off some of the more demanding graphics settings can help reduce the load on your CPU.

    -Update your drivers.

Make sure that you have the latest drivers for your GPU and CPU.

    -Overclocking:

If you have overclocked your CPU, try resetting it to its default clock speed.

    -CPU Cooling:

Check that your CPU cooling is adequate. If the CPU is overheating, it may throttle its performance to prevent damage.

    For cpu update

Right-click on the "Start" menu. Select "Device Manager" from the list of options.

Click the arrow to the left of "Processors" from within the Device Manager window.

Right-click on the chipset you want to update and then choose "Update driver"

    For the clock speed:

To check if your ASUS computer has overclocking capabilities, you will need to enter the BIOS settings during startup.

This can be done by pressing a key, such as Delete or F2, while the computer is starting up.

Once in the BIOS, look for settings related to the CPU, such as "CPU Configuration" or "Overclocking." If you see options for adjusting the clock speed, then your computer supports overclocking.

If your computer does not have built-in overclocking capabilities, you may still be able to overclock the CPU using third-party software. However, it's important to note that overclocking can potentially damage your hardware and void your warranty.

Please be aware that overclocking a CPU can generate more heat and can damage the CPU if not done correctly and also can cause system instability, crashes and data loss.

And a temperature of 90 degrees Celsius is considered to be high for most CPUs.

Under normal circumstances (even if you are performing intense tasks like playing a video game), the temperature of a processor should be between 40 and 65°C

To help lower the temperature of your CPU, you can try the following:

-Make sure that the air vents on your laptop are not blocked

-Clean the dust from the air vents and the fan

-Place your laptop on a hard, flat surface to allow for proper airflow

-Close unnecessary background tasks or programs

-Try to use a cooling pad or stand to help dissipate heat

-Check the thermal paste between the CPU and the heatsink and make sure it's still working properly

Thank you Marco. I just have a few questions myself.

How would I update my CPU? I am aware of how to update my GPU but updating CPUs are not something I have done.

Is there any way to change a CPU clock speed on an ASUS computer?

What is considered a high temperature for a CPU? My CPU temperature is usually 90 degrees while gaming and I have a laptop.
