    Hi JimWest4,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

What do you want to be backed up into DVD?

If you want to backup only your personal data to a DVD, follow these steps:

1-Insert a blank DVD into your DVD drive.

2-Open File Explorer and navigate to the location of the files you want to backup.

3-Select the files you want to backup. You can hold down the Ctrl key to select multiple files.

4-Right-click on one of the selected files and choose "Send to > DVD Drive (D:)"

5-A "Burn a Disc" dialog will appear. Enter a name for the disc, select the "Like a USB flash drive" option, and click "Next".

6-The files will be copied to the DVD. When the process is complete, click "Finish" to close the dialog.

You can also use third-party software to burn data to a DVD on Windows 10. Some popular options include Nero Burning ROM and Ashampoo Burning Studio.

Please let me know if you need further assistance and keep me updated.

I wouldn't recommend that. Its not very big so you'd need a lot of discs. Its incredibly slow compared to fast solid store portable drives assuming today (and USB port speed to go with that), networking, much larger storage space, etc.

If you want to use discs like water however then you simply insert the blank DVD, drag and drop to the folder to what fits, then burn away. Example starting at #4 using this well known computer manufacturer's website guide with all the pictures you need https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03453031
