Place a restart icon on my taskbar

I want a one click restart icon on my taskbar instead of 3 clicks.

Tried the youtube videos and it does not work.

I cut and pasted the commands that were given.

When I tried the shortcut , it looks like a command screen flashed very briefly and nothing happens.

Why, oh why, did microsoft do a 3 click? Way to go microsoft.....sigh.....

Thanks

    Hi p,

I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.

Did you make sure that you put in the right command?

    > Right-click Desktop > click New > Shortcut.

    > Copy-paste: shutdown /r /t 0

    > click Next > put the name: Restart > click Finish.

    > Right-click the created Restart shortcut > click Properties.

    > in Shortcut tab > click Change icon > select the icon > click OK.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.

    Hello p ben,

If you like, you can create a new shortcut using a restart computer command you want in option seven of the tutorial below.

    https://www.elevenforum.com/t/restart-computer-in-windows-11.384/#Seven

Afterwards, you can "Pin to taskbar" this shortcut to use.
