    Hi Greg,

    The requirement is as follows,

I have many users installing Oracle JDK applications in their devices.

As an initial step, we want to restrict users installing OracleJDK related (EXE/MSI) version using the GPO AppLocker policy. This should not block the installation of publishers or applications other than Oracle.

Can you help me to resolve this?

    Thanks,
    Muja

    Hi Muja -

I wish I could help but we do not handle those questions here because Microsoft Community is strictly an end-consumer forum. Solutions we give here may conflict with the organization''s Group Policy which we do not use in consumer forums at all.

Please ask Group Policy questions to your System Administrator or at our sister forums for IT Professionals, Q&A forums here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/answers/index.... ?

There are also equally good (and sometimes busier) 3rd party IT Pro forums here:

    https://www.techrepublic.com/forums/

    https://www.spiceworks.com/

    I hope it helps.

Hello, I'm Greg, here to help you with this.

What requirement are you referring to which you do not explain? Is this an organization which has Group Policy restrictions? If so please ask your system administrator or at our sister forums for IT Professionals, Q&A forums here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/answers/index.... as Microsoft Community is strictly an end-consumer forum.

Solutions we give here will conflict with the organization''s Group Policy which we do not use in consumer forums at all.

There are also equally good (and sometimes busier) 3rd party IT Pro forums here:

    https://www.techrepublic.com/forums/

    https://www.spiceworks.com/

If this is purely consumer use then please also explain what restriction you're referring to, and look over this guide which is best for all ways to install JDK in Windows:

    https://docs.oracle.com/en/java/javase/11/insta...

    I hope it helps.
