Hi, I'm having problems with my laptop, lately I was having problems running a music making program (it would freeze) and since I no longer needed to be on the dev channel I decided to clean install windows 11 to the current stable version with a bootable usb and the creation tool from microsoft, nonetheless after some attemtps to install windows 11 I succeded and somehow I did managed to install it and update it.now I am in version 22H2 OS build (22621.963) On an Asus Vivobook x512f.

So far nothing wrong with putting the laptop to sleep, but if I do click on restart or shutdown options it will go and give me this error:

there is this way I’ve found were I can boot to windows 11 again and is to go to the bios and go press enter on where it says save changes

and that way I can boot into the computer and use it again. right now, I don’t know how to fix the problem so that's why I'm posting it here for any help I can get. Thanks in advance.

Randy, are you receiving the blue screen error at every startup? How are you able to bypass it exactly?

Here are fixes for the crash to try:

    https://www.minitool.com/backup-tips/a-required...

What Distributed Com errors are you getting exactly? Is there an error number?

If you prefer to reinstall then follow the guidance I gave earlier. I am standing by here to help.

Hello Randy. I'm Greg, here to help you with this.

You have 36 drivers queued from WIndows Update. I'm surprised it will run at all!

Immediately after install you should expedite all Windows Updates including Optional until no more are offered. This is how critical drivers and enabling software is delivered, in addition to regular Windows Updates.

Then import any drivers from the PC maker's Support Downloads web page for your model that are newer, or branded instead of generic.

The most basic thing we need to learn to maintain a PC is how to keep the latest manufacturer's drivers current. Windows drivers are rarely enough.

Once Windows has all of it's drivers, enabling software (Net Frameworks, C++ Redistributables, etc) and Windows Updates, the problem should subside.

If not Go over Windows 11 with this Performance Checklist to try to find and fix problems:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

Then if necessary report back any remaining errors with the full error text and number.

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the detailed results you post back, I will have other suggestions if necessary.

Hi Greg Carmack yes, I did all the updates on windows update even the optional ones, also went to my manufacturer sites and donwloaded and installed all driver updates from them.

now I was checking the error and critical in the event viewer, so far I don't fully understand it yet but I've seen critical withing 24 hours from DistributedCOM only that. I might want to go for a superior clean install which involves formatting the drives (according to the steps)

Make sure during the booted install to unplug all other drives, boot the media as a UEFI Device, choose Custom Install, delete all partitions down to Unallocated Space to get it cleanest, choose the Unallocated Space, click Next to auto-create and -format the needed partitions and begin install - this makes it foolproof.

but I think I should do it with fastboot disabled because otherwise i would get the 0xc00000e error I believe.

then install all the windows updates that shows up and also the manufacturer ones, then go and check event viewer or so...

    what you say?

I don't think you can ignore a piece of electronics falling off the motherboard, it needs to be checked out by a shop.

Did you get all of those optional Updates drivers installed, and fully update your drivers from the manufacturer's site?

Check for repeat Errors and Critical in Event Viewer and troubleshoot them as shown here:

Clean Install is always a great idea if you follow the tutorials and steps outlined in the checklist.

I've tried all the suggestions you've listed and even the performance ones in the link, but nonetheless the error still appeared On a YouTube video though, one thing someone did was to disable fast boot, so I tried it and now it does boot somewhat slower, but it doesn't show the error. I finished about right now from trying all that. there is this little thing that I think I should mention and is that somehow a resistor fell off from the laptop like 2 or 3 weeks ago and I didn't really care that much about it, maybe that could have caused the problem? I don't know. I think I should give the superior clean install a go if I can too. Its an Asus Vivobook x512FLC.
