Why do I keep getting this error? 127.0.0.1 refused to connect.

I recently got new internet through frontier fiber instead of charter. I noticed ever since that my computer now gets this error when trying to get access to certain applications. My firewall basically blocks it even though I have allowed the process. I feel like I have tried everything that the internet has suggested. What can I do to fix this? is it because I switched internet providers or because a certain setting has been changed in my computer settings?

    Hi,

My name is Cindy. I am sorry you are having this problem. I know it is really frustrating. I will do my best to help you with this problem.

Here are a few things you can try. You will want to temporarily disable your firewall.

    1. Unplug your internet modem for 30 seconds and then turn it back on.
    2. After the modem is back on, restart your computer.
    3. If you are connecting by wifi, click on the wifi icon on your taskbar. Do you see the wifi? If so, try to connect. You may need to enter the password again.

If these do not work, try this below

    1. Please click on the Windows Keys and the S key.

Type cdm on the search line (do not hit enter)

Select run as administrator. Then click on Run.

Enter each of the codes below in order.

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /flushdns

    ipconfig /renew

    netsh winsock reset

    netsh interface ipv4 reset

    netsh interface ipv6 reset

    netsh winsock reset catalog

    netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

    netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

Please let me know if you have questions.

    Sincerely,

    Cindy

Have you added these websites to your antivirus safe list?

You may also want to contact Frontier Fiber. Internet companies provides security settings for their internet service. They can change the settings for you on their service.

Thank you for the reply. I went ahead and did all that and am still receiving the same error. Basically my internet works and everything but I keep having these sites pop up because my elgato stream deck and streamlabs obs are trying to get authorization to use the apps. As soon as I try to allow them to run and work I get led to the error that I keep seeing. And these pop ups come up every 10 minutes or so. This is how it looks when I try to approve these actions. I get the same error over and over ImageImage

I have tried different browsers and get the same issue. I haven’t messed with antivirius settings on my computer ever is there something that might be causing this from that?

Have you tried a different browser and check the antivirus to see if it is blocking access.
