OneDrive - Mp3 files in Onedrive folder stop playing after 5 to 8 seconds.

Hi. We have MP3 files in a folder on Onedrive. One user reports that the song in the OneDirve folder will stop playing after 5 seconds. When she hits play it will play for about 6 more seconds then stop. Then maybe 8 seconds, then stop. We recorded these songs at church. The actual Mp3 files play beautifully on my computer. I could replicate the issue once. But now, I'm not experiencing it. She's playing the files on an Android phone. Please help. Thanks!

Important - The files play perfectly on the computer. And if I send the Mp3 files directly to the users via text, there are no issues. It's only when they try to play the Mp3 files in the one drive folder. (I'm sending them a link to the OneDrive folder).

Thanks so much! It's for a song project at church. So it would be difficult to ask folks to fuss with browsers and downloads. I will try a You Tube Private Channel or perhaps a song page on our website.

Seems like OneDrive isn't meant to be a media player.

But I truly appreciate you trying to help!

    Blessings!

Ok it sounds like it might be an issue with the browser they are using on android. If they could either try a different browser or download the file first and see if that works.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise

Hi, Elise! Thanks so much for helping! I'm sending them a link to the song (mp3 file) via text. They are then clicking the link. So they are going through their browser I assume. One user purposely deleted their OneDrive app, just to see if that helped.

I had the issue "once" on my iPhone, but now I'm not experiencing it. Neither is another iPhone user. But two Android users are experiencing the 5 second stop.

Next - I will ask one of them to see if they can download the mp3 file, then see if it will play.

(BTW, when I send them the mp3 file directly via text... and they click it... there are no issues).

Hi, I'm Elise, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

Are they using the OneDrive app on the Android device to access these files, and playing them in the app? Or using the browser to do the same?

Do they have the same issue if they download the files first to the android device locally before playing them?

    Kind Regards,

    Elise
