    No, I did not try that. See the below simple procedure to solve this issue.

    FYI for anyone that needs this information in the future.

    Uninstall the drive, then restart your PC. The restart will see the device connected, not installed, and will retrieve the driver and install.

    Thank you. Glad you found how to do it.

    I have two WDMYCLOUDs. The older one on OS3 is only used on my home network now and the 2nd generation OS5 I hope will be updated each time new Firmware is available.
