Minecraft Launcher cannot install Minecraft java edition

Hello, so this happened after I tried to reset my computer. The reset couldn’t complete so I decided to leave it as is and when I tried to open Minecraft it kept giving me an error when trying to reinstall. It would often be stuck like in the beginning when trying to install Java edition and then just give up and say “failed to download file”. Then if I would try to hit play again it would go straight to the error “unable to locate Java runtime”. I have tried everything from disabling firewall. Reinstalling drivers. Reinstalling launcher. Clearing java executable. Wiping computer again. Downloading java 8 and java 18. And nothing seems to work.

    I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

    1. I uninstalled minecraft launcher.
    2. press win+R on the keyboard and type: %appdata% and ok.
    3. Delete the .minecraft folder.
    4. restart the computer, download the legacy version of minecraft.

    1. install and open minecraft login your microsoft account.

    Do the test.

    Exclude .minecraft folder and replace in %appdata% and Minecraft launcher Also replace in C:\Program Files(X86)\Minecraft Launcher.

    I tried it and it was downloading but it gets stuck at “ 383.55KB/7.37MB”
