Airpods connected to PC with Windows 11, but no sound.

My PC (Windows 11) says airpods connected but sound still comes out of the PC. I do have the airpods selected in sound settings. When I test the airpods, I do hear the beep. The airpods work fine on my phone. I've tried deleting and re-pairing the airpods and restarting PC many times. My drivers and Windows are up to date.

Thank you. Unfortunately, that didn't fix the issue.

At the bottom is a Lenovo link for connecting a device in Windows 10 and they are not that different from Windows 11

If you look at Settings, System>Sound, near the bottom of the page is a More Sound settings option. Does yours look like the one below for your AirPods?

Is there anything on your system which might be giving priority to the onboard sound? Is your phone far enough away or not connected to the AirPods?

if you left click the volume icon and click on the small arrow on the right of the volume setting, do the AirPods show up there? If so, can you select them?

If you are using them with Apple Music, it does not like to change output sources after the utility is started. You have to restart or fool it by selecting another audio source the back to the computer.

Does this mean that "don't apply" is the correct setting?

    Hi Zoe,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Can you try turning off Ear detection feature when connected your iPhone, and then connect it to your Windows PC and see if that helps?
