Hi, so i have a problem with my hard drive. My pc starts having this clicking noise and i recently find out that its the drive that is causing it. When I looked in files, my other drive doesn't show how many space i have left and consumed. And i cant access my files in it. It says D:\ is not accessible the parameter is incorrect.

    Hi tsintsin,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

If you are hearing a regular clicking noise coming from a hard drive then most likely that drive has failed, it is the head on the drive moving backwards and forwards trying to find the landing zone on the drive and not finding it.

    1

Open Disk Management (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)

Does that utility take time to open or produce an error?

    2

Click your Start Button, then just type cmd and from the resulting menu, right click Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator.

Run this command and hit Enter:

    diskpart

Run this command and hit Enter:

    list disk

Please provide a screenshot of that Command Prompt window.

    Hi tsintsin,

Thank you for the screenshots, they indicate that dive has failed, and I am sorry, it will not be repairable.
