Why can't I remove recommendations from start menu?

Windows 11 has the option to show "more", "less" or "medium" amount of recommendations from start menu.
Has it not occurred to the genius who developed this UI that a user might want NO recommendations?
Like, what if I don't want a reminder of which files I recently used, right on start menu for everyone to see?

Windows 11 UI so far is complete junk. No idea what you guys are thinking but I came back from Ubuntu because I missed the Windows UI (Windows 7, Windows 10) but if it's not there - then I am going back to Ubuntu!

    I totally don't believe you.
I heard the same nonsense about the "ungroup taskbar icons" for more than a year now and this simple but EXTREMELY obvious UI feature is still not implemented.

As for "go here go there" - I don't care, I am not going to do MS's job for them. They have my feedback here and can read it if they want. If not - then, good luck to them!

    Hi Ajny,

I am Dave, I will help you with this, Community is just a user to user forum.

Currently there is no setting, method or even a known registry hack to remove the Recommended section form the Windows 11 Start Menu.

Many people are asking for a setting to remove that, and there are new changes coming in March to the Windows 11 UI, so that may be there as part of the update, we don't know yet.

In the meantime, please open the feedback hub (Windows Key + F) and provide your feedback on the lack of functionality on the Start Menu in Windows 11 to the developers there, the more people that ak for this setting, the more likely they are yo include it.

    Hi Ajny,

I do understand your frustration, believe me, that ungroup taskbar icons setting is currently on the Insiders ring and hopefully we should get that soon,
