I was cleaning up my disk and I found these default users on my pc and I do not recall them. Even worse, they can't be deleted. Please advise me on how to get rid of them. Appreciate any help.

    Hi Jackson Hue1,

I am glad you fond a solution to delete those DefaultUser1 folders

Please do not delete the Public or Default user folders, they are both system folders and should never be deleted.

The Default folder is empty and it is used as a template for any new user you may need to add to your PC and the Public folder is used to store items that would appear on all user folders on a Windows PC.

This is the error I get. A quick google search tells me this is asking for an Administrator account but I am the Administrator.

    Hi Jackson Hue1

Thank you for the screenshot, you are logged into the correct user folder, and those DefaultProfile1 user folders are no longer being used.

What error do you get when you try to delete one of those folders?

    Hi Jackson Hue1

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Those folders are created when Windows has difficulty logging into your user profile, they are for temporary user profiles.

Before you attempt to delete those folders, open Command Prompt (not as Administrator) then run this command and press Enter.

    whoami

Please provide a screenshot of that Command Prompt window.
