    Hi,

Did you create a fresh bootable usb? This error is very general and happens due to corrupted Windows installation. The error can come from the bootable usb you created or the system was not able to transfer files properly from the usb to the hard drive and so on.

So creating a fresh bootable usb should be the first step.

    Hi,

It looks like the reset was not completely done or it failed at the end. As your friend tried the reset I would recommend going for a fresh install and it will solve the issue.

To perform a clean install please check the following link - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

    Hi ,

Sabya here, Independent Windows Adviser. Hope you are doing well.

Is this is a new laptop?

If yes please check with the service center or the place you purchased it from to avoid warranty issues.

A new laptop should load up normally and there will be no need to install Windows.
