Lenovo scanned my system and it said that my hard drive failed the Targeted Read test, tried fixing it but it couldn't and it's 8 bad sectors.
I've ran sfcscannow, chkdsk, DISM and nothing seems to be able to fix this.
Do I need a new hard drive? this one is only about three years old.

The best option is to install a disk check program from the manufacturer of the hard drive, Seagate seatools for windows, and western digital data lifeguard are the ones I use, but if your drive is an SSD using tools like this may cause the drive to wear out faster, a few bad sectors should have been relocated automatically to spare areas of the disk, but if those are already used, there is no place left for the bad clusters to go.
Manufacturers in most cases do not do a warranty replacement unless their diagnostic tools are used and an error code is produced and a check if the warranty is within the period to replace
I would ask Lenovo to replace the drive if is still in a warranty, either a drive swap or sending the unit in. https://www.google.com/search?q=chkdsk+%2Ff+%2Fr&oq=checkdisk&aqs=chrome.3.69i57j0i10i433i512l3j0i10i512l6.11612j0j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 Windows command prompt, run as administrator, type in chkdsk /f /r or chkdsk /f /r/x
The link above will give you details about the options, both will take a long time to complete, hours to days
I scan it using windows from the properties tab and it says everything is okay but using command prompt, it can't fix them
the warranty for the drive just expired actually. I was hoping it would last a bit more than 3 years but smh
Hi. I'm Brian and I will do my best to help you.
With the tools built into Windows, the chkdsk full scan is the most likely to help. The manufacturer of the drive may have a tool that can help. Otherwise there are tools you can buy. I've used on that's sort of pricey (US $89.00) but it has saved many drives for me but it requires the ability to use legacy boot instead of UEFI.
