Computer is suddenly really slow, and I have no clue why

I was watching Netflix, not really paying attention to my computer. Suddenly it powers off, no clue why, thought it was a overheat (which I later found out no). Booted it back up, powered off again whenever I opened Opera GX. Opened it up again, the third time it didn't power off again, but since then it has been literally unusable. Games I could run more than perfectly before are literally unplayable. It takes seconds to type a word, sites don't load quickly, apps don't load quickly. Looking at task manager everything is normal. It's almost like my computer is running at 100% CPU and GPU at all times.

I thought I had a virus, factory reset my computer, and now its still running the same problem. I don't know what to do anymore, I tried to go in and update my drivers (I use driver booster 4 to check what drivers need to be updated then update them manually), but I can't even full scan with driver booster without running into a irreparable problem.

My computer is by no means a bad device, the device was working perfectly fine right before the first shutdown and now I no longer know what to do.

I've solved the issue, I don't know what the underlying problem is for my temp, but I was monitoring my temperature on the CPU and it was not reading hot. After finding out it was actually scorching hot it made sense that my CPU was suffering because it was being throttled to reduce the heat. I realized after that my CPU fan was not running, so after fixing that my problem fixed.

Didn't change anything. I don't know if this helps explain my issue, but in games for example: I will crack 20-30 frames in games I could run 120-240, I have very very heavy input delay, and the game stutters every 2 seconds. As I said before typing has a considerable amount of delay and pages have ridiculous load times.

Watching task managers nothing seems wrong at all.

Hi, I’m Nicole, I’ll be happy to help you out today.

It sounds like you may be experiencing a hardware issue. Try the following steps to troubleshoot:

Check for any loose or damaged cables connected to your computer and make sure they are securely connected.

Run a diagnostic tool on your hard drive to check if there's any disk errors.

Make sure your computer has proper ventilation and is not overheating by cleaning the dust off the fan and vents.

    Try updating your BIOS.

    Regards.

May I know if you still use a hard drive on the system or and Solid state drive?

If the system still uses a Hard drive, there is a chance the power interruption might cause damage to the disc inside the drive. Hard drive has a disc that is spinning inside the drive in which sudden power cuts can damage it, especially if the drive has been used for years now.

The speed of the system usually relies on the CPU, GPU, RAM, and especially the drive where the Windows operating system is installed.

    Unfortunately none of those worked
