I recently bought a new keyboard for my new duo monitor setup, this is great and all but I can not for the life of me figure out how to disable to laptop's internal keyboard as I have a cat who likes to sit on it so it activates when im trying to use my other keyboard. I have already tried uninstalling all my drivers but the only thing affected was the external keyboard and nothing changed on the internal one. `Any help would be great since as I was typing this said cat sat on the laptop and typed a bunch of Qs that I had to delete.

    Hi Nicole,

After disconnecting the external keyboard and disabling all of the drivers for the internal keyboard it was still functional :( I also tried restarting the computer but that just put all of the drivers back

    Thank you for your assistance,

    Louie

Hi, I’m Nicole, I’ll be happy to help you out today.

    First, disconnect the external keyboard.

Next, open device manager by right-clicking the Windows logo then click device manager.

Next, double-click keyboards in device manager to expand it.

After expanding keyboards, you should see the drivers of the internal keyboard. Right-click the internal keyboards driver then click disable. Repeat the process until all drivers under keyboards are disabled. After that, check if the internal keyboard is still functioning. If it is disabled by now, connect the external keyboard.

Report back the results here afterward.

    Regards.
