Hi Emile_4477,
My name is Cindy. I am sorry you are having this problem. I know it is really frustrating. I will do my best to help you with this problem.
Please note: This is a user-to-user community forum. We are users just like you who help others. We are not employees of Microsoft.
The drivers become corrupted and are no longer working properly. Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver will usually fix this problem.
- Please type the words Device Manager into the search and open the page.
- Scroll down the page and click on Biometric Devices
- Right-click on the fingerprint driver (file) and uninstall it.
- Restart the computer. Windows will automatically reinstall the drivers.
- Check to see if the problem has been fixed.
If you do not see the Biometric Devices folder or the fingerprint driver on your Device Manager, this means it is no longer on your computer. Samsung is responsible to make drivers for their computers so it will work with Windows. It is free of charge to download them from their website.
Please let me know if this does not work.
Sincerely,
Cindy
