No microphone driver in device manager?

I uninstalled my audio from the device manager, so I reinstalled it through the Realtek website version 2.82. I have an HP EliteBook 840 G7. Under audio output/ inputs in the device manager, my internal microphone is now missing (microphone array). I assumed the internal microphone would be included in the Realtek audio download?

In the control panel, under sound> recording, my Realtek microphone cannot be set as default and says 'not plugged in'

I've done everything possible that I know of, but I cannot get my internal microphone back.

Can someone please help me with this?

Kindy download and install below driver from HP , the system may restart twice to uninstall current driver and install.

    Hi there,

Unfortunately this did not work for me. I assumed the system would automatically install the drivers absent, but nothing was installed.
