Right click on multiple displays pops up menu options on different display

I am using a docking system where I plug in a Surface laptop into a two monitor system. The laptop I keep open but I don't actually use it, it is display 1. The other monitors are Display 2 and Display 3, with Display 3 being my primary. Display 3 has no problems, but whenever I right click on Display 2, the menu options appear on Display 1 (which is really annoying because this is on the small laptop screen that is inconvenient to look at).

I think this may have to do with resolution or scaling (since the 2 external monitors are wider and have a different resolution than the laptop). I want to avoid mirroring versus extending, because when I mirror, because of the size difference, I lose about 1/3 of my monitor as it cuts to the laptop screen size.

The two monitors are 1080p, and the laptop is 2736x1824.

Hi, my name is Kelly, and I'm an independent consultant and I'm here to help.

This issue may be related to the different display resolutions and scaling factors. Here are some steps you can try to fix it:

Check Display Settings: Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings. Check the scaling and layout settings for all three displays. Make sure they are set to the recommended settings or the same scaling factor.

Try changing the resolution: You can try changing the resolution of Display 2 to match the resolution of Display 3. Right-click on the desktop, select Display settings, click on Display 2, and then click on Display resolution. Try selecting a resolution that matches the resolution of Display 3.

Change the position of the displays: In Display Settings, you can drag and drop the displays to change their position. Try moving Display 2 to a different position relative to Display 1 and Display 3.

Check the graphics driver: Make sure that you have the latest graphics driver installed for your graphics card. Go to the manufacturer's website and download the latest driver.

Try using a different docking system: If none of the above steps work, you can try using a different docking system or adapter that supports your display configuration.

Hopefully, one of these steps will help resolve the issue with the right-click menu appearing on the wrong display.
