How do I upgrade windows 10 home to pro with digital key?

I have a pc with windows 10 home on it, this was activated with a product key. I also have a windows 10 pro digital license linked to my Microsoft account. How do I upgrade windows 10 home to windows 10 pro with that digital license without loosing data?

    Hello, how are you?

    I understand that you would like to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro and use your new digital license for activation.

    In that case, I suggest you first try to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro using generic Windows upgrade key.

    After that, Windows should identify the linked license in your email and automatically activate.

    1. Press Windows+I to access Windows settings, then access Update and security -> Activation;
    2. Click on Change Product Key, if it requests UAC permissions click on Yes;
    3. Enter the key below and click the Start Upgrade button:

    1. Wait for the Windows 10 Pro upgrade process to finish, the system will probably restart a few times.

    After finishing the update, access the settings again and check the activation.
