Realtek Semiconductor Corp. Version 6.0.9414.1 - AUDIO ISSUE

Hi,

I have Windows 11 Pro and receive updates regularly. Recently, I received an update through Windows Update and it was an update for Realtek Semiconductor Corp 6.0.9414.1 but the only issue is this ruins the way my audio works. For example, it keeps my volume at 100% at all times without any change. I can only set the volume myself when I un-install the driver via Device Manager.

I've attempted to update my Windows again and it KEEPS showing up. My device also doesn't support the Realtek Audio Console either.

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

Uninstall this driver and install the latest driver provided by HP for your computer.

I suggest uninstalling the driver in "Settings > Apps > Apps & features". It should be named "Realtek Audio Driver" or "Realtek High Definition Audio".

Download the driver from the link below.

If the update for that driver version is offered again, you can use Microsoft's "Show or Hide updates" tool to hide the update. Download from the link below.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions.

    Same issues.

6.0.9414.1 is bugged. You have to revert back to 6.0.9381.1 (7/12/2022) and it'll work again.

Windows will force update the driver every so often and no, disabling ALL windows driver updates is not a solution.

Your computer has a realtek audio chip, therefore you have realtek audio drivers.

B&O is just stuff on top of the realtek audio drivers.

HP computers don't come with realtek audio console.

They come with either HP audio app or B&O audio app.
