Okay Jamie, I will be here.
PC will not boot (Start PXE over IPv6)
Hi,
I have recently moved desk and PC, and when I have tried to turn on my old PC to copy some stuff to one drive it will not start now.
Its come up on start up with:
Start PXE over IPv6..
PXE-E16: No offer received.
Start PXE over IPv4.
PXE-E18: Server response timeout.
Is there something I can do to get my stuff off the hard drive? Not bothered if its broken after that as I am on a new PC anyway.
Please help.
Thanks
Jamie

Many thanks for your reply.
Yes I'm worried it is the SSD or hard drive that has broken. I've not moved that PC it is in the same place, I'm now at another desk and new PC. But i had wanted to copy stuff from my old PC onto a portable hard drive to copy onto my new one.
Is that by pressing escape when it is booting up?
Its currently running some of advanced diagnostic test I selected which said it would take 1 hour 15 mins, but I will try and have a look at what you have suggested when that is finished.
I'm praying its not completely broken as I have information on there I need.
Thanks
Jamie

I am Dave, I will help you with this.
That error indicates your PC cannot find the internal drive and it is trying to boot form a network drive instead.
Is it possible while moving the PC the drive came loose and was disconnected inside the PC?
Otherwise, boot the PC into BIOS, then find the option to reset BIOS to defaults and apply that, save those settings and restart your PC to see if it boots into Windows.

The scan has completed and 'passed' so no further forward and not sure if something wrong with the drives or not.
I've accessed the BIOS so will look to see if i can find the reset BIOS to defaults and see if it will boot. I'll let you know if this works or not.
Thanks Jamie

Hopefully that scan can fix this problem and give you access to the drive.
Accessing BIOS can vary from PC to PC, usually it is accessed by pressing either the Esc key or the F2 key on the PC manufacturers logo screen on startup.
