Newer app types (like Universal Windows Platform/UWP) are stored in a folder under C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages. Run this command shell:AppsFolder to see their shortcuts.
What does "application folder" mean in this post?
Ruwim.B says "Microsoft Skype for Windows 10 (Skype UWP) is an intrinsic Windows App, and as such, cannot be activated from the application folder."
To my interpretation of the sentence, he means to say that UWP programs can not be opened from application folder.
But I do not understand what application folder is. Can someone tell me plz.

I am Jaspreet Singh.
The answer is referring to the WindowsApp folder where all the apps downloaded from Microsoft Store are installed.
The difference of these installations is that there is no exe file as conventional desktop apps. The files of the installation is directly stored in a folder named for the app/ game you installed. Secondly Users don’t have access to this folder.
