Can my old Toshiba Satellite laptop (details below) connect to my new WiFi 6 home network?

I have just updated my home internet to a Wifi 6 system, but my old Toshiba satellite laptop cannot see it as an available network when I search for it. My Toshiba laptop is using a Realtek RTL8723AE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC on Windows 10 home. Is there a fix for this, or is the laptop just too old and I need to buy a new one? I have connected it via an ethernet lead, but that isn't ideal.

    Hi Chris,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Your WiFi card is too old to connect to WiFi 6 network, you would need to purchase a USB WiFi dongle to be able to connect to WiFi 6 networks, they are widely available and very cheap these days.
