you can only connect to Windows 10/11 mobile hotspot via WiFi:
My Windows 11 hotspot configuration does not see my USB network adapter. How do I overcome this?

I am using USB tethering to connect to the internet. I do not want to use my wi-fi to connect my laptop to my tablet. I want my laptop hotspot settings to see the USB network adapter, however it currently does not.
How can I correct this?
