Hello Stuart, I'm Greg, here to help you with this.

What is the USB device exactly? Make, model and how it's being used exactly.

Install the latest drivers from the Device's Support Downloads webpage.

With devices connected and powered up, Check for Updates in Settings > Windows Update, including in Advanced Update Settings > Optional Updates, expedite install of all drivers found, monitor for restart prompt, after restart check again Updates and Optional Updates until no more are offered.

Report back results for more steps if necessary.

    Hi Greg,

Had major power outage & lost reply in progress. I am a ham radio operator that does quite a bit of computer controlled communication. My radio is an ICOM IC-7300 and my new computer is a home built I9 with lots of memory and processing resources. However, I was having solid success with digital/computer controlled communication while on the former computer w/WIN 10. Have not been able to do the same with Win 11.

My digital control software, WSJT-X, is now telling me that the "USB Audio CODEC" it requires is "Not found". I am now noticing that there is no longer a listing of available com ports in Device Manager.

I believe I have followed all of your instructions for updates.

    Stuart
