Need to know which Folders are too large

Something happened recently that caused my files to almost double in the number on my C drive. I have been looking through File Explorer but it's hard to tell which files are the largest. I have started going thru each folder and selecting Properties but it's is a very slow process.

Any suggestions on how or what to use to speed this process up?

TIA

Hi, I'm Anvar, I'd be glad to help you today on this

WinDirStat is a free tool that can be used to know exact space used by the folders, You can download the same from below link , it will show Folder Tree with size

You should also try Directory Report. It has a 64bit version so it won't run out of memory when scanning your large drive.

Thanks to all who helped! I now have WindirStat installed and scanning my documents. It will take several hours to finish, then I will analyze the data. (I have approx 1TB of docs and my machine is not really fast.

I also plan to run Tree_Size also. I suspect I will like both. Are these 2 programs intended as replacements for File Expl? Or are they only be used sometimes? I am so accustomed to using File Explorer it will take a while for me to get used to something else.

    Thanks again!
