I have exactly the same problem. Uninstalling kb5023706 fixes the problem, but windows update keeps on reinstalling so i need to do it at every startup

I have win 11 pro and suddenly started getting a screen that flashes about 1x/sec. after trying to install KB5023706. I have tried installing this update multiple times without success. My computer is a Dell XPS 8950.

I followed all of your instructions and when I rebooted an error developed each time I booted, even with a win 11 pro disk. the error reported 0xc0000034 with the following info "the boot configuration data file is missing some required information". Now there is no way I can boot. Please help.

If the issue still persists, please try performing an In-place Upgrade. It will definitely help in resolving update errors. Performing this can repair broken operating system files while your personal files, settings and installed applications will not be removed.

**Few things to check on the PC
Unplug all external peripherals except for the Mouse, Keyboard, and LAN cable before starting
Disable or uninstall any 3rd party Anti-Virus program to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade
