Hi,
My name is Cindy. I am sorry you are having this problem. I know it is really frustrating. I will do my best to help you with this problem.
Please note: This is a user-to-user community forum. We are users just like you who help others. We are not employees of Microsoft.
The problem you are having is usually caused by a driver problem. The drivers of your mouse may have become corrupted. Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver will usually fix this problem.
- Please type the words Device Manager into the search and open the page.
- Scroll down the page and Mice and Other Pointing Devices for the touchpad driver if you do not see it in this folder, check the Human Interface Devices folder.
- You should see the drivers. Right-click on them and uninstall them.
- Restart the computer. Windows will automatically reinstall the drivers and fix problems.
- Check to see if the problem has been fixed.

If you continue to have a problem, go to the maker of the computer such as Dell, HP, or Lenovo, etc., and see if they have updated bios and drivers. It is free of charge and they are responsible to have these updated drivers so your computer will work with Windows. If you have a problem, their support will be able to assist you.
Please let me know if you have questions or concerns.
Cindy
