I have a 1 TB flash drive that I've been storing a lot of files on recently. I had an issue with a game where the update was wayyy slow so I thought that moving the game into the flash drive might help. Ever since then the flash drive says "no media" and doesnt let me open it(the error that was previously specified shows up as well).

Thanks for responding. I tried doing this but I cant seem to find the flash drive on the drive list. It's on this other part of the list but that only allows you to view the properties and change the letter. You can see the flash drive labeled "Disk 1"

Ok, I appreciate the help regardless

Is there any chance I can completely reset the drive? or is there no saving it? Just completely out of curiosity, it doesnt really bother me if I cant save it

    Hi,

This generally happens when the drive gets corrupted. I would recommend trying it on another pc. Sometimes it works when you try it on another pc and you will be able to format it. If it is still not showing up in the other pc also then I am sorry it is completely corrupted.

    My pleasure to assist you.

    Hi ,

Sabya here, Independent Windows Adviser. Hope you are doing well.

If you have files in the drive that you want to recover, then I would recommend you plugging it into another pc to check if it is working there.

If not, then please do this -

Right click on the start menu and choose disk management.

Select the flash drive and format it. This will fix the issue.
