Periodically, this adware prevents me from using my computer. How do I prevent this from happening or remove it? It's crazy this adware for Windows 11 forces me to interact with it before I can use my computer. The shame that these people make adware that infiltrates people's computers.

This doesn't look at all like malicious adware. It looks like Microsoft is telling you that your computer can run Windows 11 and that it's ready for you to download and install.

You can prevent Windows from telling you about the update by downloading the utility InControl from https://www.grc.com/InControl.htm. This is a free utility and the person who wrote it is a trusted security researcher.

A notification you forced to interact with. That purposefully tries to deceive you into taking the product. Manipulates people into thinking you HAVE to get windows 11 because your only options are get it or schedule to get it. While I understand there is the microscopic option to decline, if you decline, it gives a SECOND screen trying to manipulate you into getting a product. It's sleezy and unprofessional. But once again, thank you for your suggestion.

Seems like adware to me. I looked up the definition and it fits perfectly. Regardless, thank you for the reply. I will try your suggestion.

I'd call it more a notification rather than adware because it's not selling you anything, it's notifying you of the Windows 11 availability, It's certainly not malicious. Look that up in your dictionary as well.

At any rate, InControl should prevent the Windows 11 notifications.

Adware is a form of malware that is added to your computer when downloading freeware and other such programs. It is possible to remove this with a program called Malwarebytes. They have a free version you can try. I have attached a link below to where you can download the program.
