Your use of the lock feature sounds very reasonable. It would be interesting to hear from the developers at Microsoft as to why the feature in the app was deleted.

How do I lock my child's PC thru Family Safety?
'Screen time' allows me to set times for both thier PC and Xbox and even put the devices on the same schedule. 'Lock devices' shows only the XBox however.
Why is their PC not shown as device to lock???

2024-02-05T22:27:45+00:00 Why would an independent advisor want to evade the answer? I have the same problem: the option to lock the device has disappeared. The kid has not opted out, and is sharing usage data.

I have lost the option to Lock the PC now remotely , Its completely missing and i do need it back, also the option of having 13year old Opt out of sharing data.

2023-03-14T03:15:39+00:00 As stated in my original question, my child's PC is already added to my Family Safety account. I can assign 'Time limits' to it. However, it's not shown as a device in the 'Lock devices' section. Why is this? Why can I set Time limits for the PC, but not Lock it?
