How to run Microsoft Digital Media Pro Keyboard KC-0405 under Win 10 Enterprise 64 Bit

Dear All,

I am using an old but very comfortable Microsoft Digital Media Pro Keyboard KC-0405 under Win 10 Enterprise 64 Bit. Unfortunately it only gets recognized as HID Keyboard Device (Driver 6/21/2006).

The Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center does not recognize my device. For the sake of sustainability please help to make this device usable again with all its functions (additional keys and favorites).

Many thanks in advance

Oliver

    Dear Derrick,

thank you for your reply. I have found the recommended threat as well, unfortunately it does not work. The software/driver that can be found in it is not recognized by the mouse and keyboard center. Even if run i compatible mode as administrator. So if anyone can come up with an "old" driver or mouse/keyboard software center, that might work under win 10. That would be aswsome. Thanks in advance

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

Since your keyboard model is older, windows 8 has stopped supporting driver maintenance. I have found a similar thread for you in the current forum, and I hope it will help you.
