Glad to help.
In this case, it seems to be a problem with the DisplayPort itself.
Using a USB adapter seems to be the best option for your case.

After update to 22H2 my display can only be detected through VGA cable, I was using display port before update. uninstalling latest windows update(22H2) wont get it to work again (DP).
i have both cables connected now but only Analog driver can be installed, if i remove the VGA cable i wont be able to see anything. I tried a different monitor and still no DP signal.
is itpossible my display port dont work anymore? it was working fine!

Hi David
Thank you again for you quick response/reply.
Have done that, i have tried other drivers from Nvidia with clean install but same problem, this one i am using now seems to be best.
My next step is to get and try a USB-to-HDMI or USB-to-DP adaptor.
Thank you for taking your time and helping me on this issue. I did get some info from you that i wasn't aware off.
Thanks again
FH
It may be a problem with the DisplayPort itself.
I believe your device does not have another DisplayPort, correct?
Therefore, it is complicated to test whether the problem is in the port itself. Only a specific test in loco to confirm this.
If possible, you could try another DisplayPort cable or test your cable on another device. This would rule out the cable as the cause of the problem.
It still doesn't rule out a driver problem.

Hi David
Thanks for your reply,
The Driver I am using now is for Nvidia fx770M is driver version 242.00 for Win 10. downloaded for their site and installed. the Dell diplay driver for this Card is not compatible with win 10'
My device was working fine with Win 10 version 21H1 and was able to use the Display port, but now only VGA working but i am getting 1920 x 1080 res !!!
is it possible that my display port has gone bad? how can i tell? anyways
thanks again for you quick response
ie: fx770M is listed on the compatible drivers list on the nvidia display driver (242.00)win 10 64bit.
Thank You
FH

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.
Have you tried updating the graphics/video driver? Nowadays, it is important that the graphics/video driver is kept up to date.
If your graphics/video card is integrated, download the driver from the support area of the computer manufacturer's website.
If your graphics/video card is dedicated, download the driver from the chip manufacturer's website (Nvidia/AMD).
If you can't find the correct driver, send a screenshot of your system information.
Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to take a screenshot.
If you have a dedicated video card, let me know its manufacturer and model.
Feel free to ask back any questions.
