I had the same issue (memory filling up with no obvious reason) so followed A.Users advise and did a clean install in the evening and the issue looked to be resolved. However, the next day when I started using my Surface, the issue started again :(. So I took the following steps to resolve (I took other actions too which I found on other sites e.g. turn hibernation off, turn off all non-windows services etc.) but the thing the steps that actually fixed my problem were;
- I downloaded CCleaner (took the free pro trial, no credit card info required) and used the disk analyser (in the tools section). This showed me that loads (100+ @ almost 1GB each!) of log (.dmp) files were being created by Zoom VDI
- I only use a Zoom VDI plug in to optimise connection with my work VM so I uninstalled that and deleted the all log files
- Logged back into my work VM (which seemed to be the problem) and used the CCleaner disk analyser again to check the log files weren't being created again.
I should have run the disk analyser as my first step as that made it easy to see where the problem actually was rather than the clean install... lesson learned for next time!
